Here at Sharwood Accounting, I represent my clients to government revenue departments (the ATO and state revenue offices), provide information and reports to third parties (finance and insurance companies), assist my clients in planning how they will structure their asset acquisitions so that they are protected, and help them with structure for estate planning. With more than 20 years of experience in accounting and taxation, I pay close attention to detail as well as undertake new roles and train others professionally.

About the Owner
Joy Ford
I am a Registered Tax Agent, Registered ASIC Agent, and Business Services Accountant with more than 20 years of experience. My knowledge in an array of SME business types of compliance, reporting, taxation, payroll, audit, and planning makes me very flexible and capable of fulfilling any tax-related endeavour. As a Certified Xero Partner, I am well-versed in operating various accounting programs and software such as MYOB, Xero, Excel, HandiSoft, and Quicken.
Using my diverse range of skills of skills, I have the capacity to develop tax-effective solutions and assist in their implementation. These allow me to meet the accountancy needs of my clients across Australia.
My determination to excel is reflected in my awards, including the NSW Finance & Accounting Achievement of Excellence Award, Finalist for 2012 NSW Vocational Training Award, and Finalist for 2012 SWSI TAFE Institute Director's Medal. I also hold a Master of Commerce degree in Professional Accounting.
I am a proudly affiliated with the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
The Business
I have been a business services accountant for more than 20 years and Registered Tax Agent since 2012.
I have gained experience across a number of different firms, and until recently, I worked for a big-four firm until I decided to start my own business. This decision came about because I realized that the services I wanted to offer and the services my clients needed required a single point person.
I founded Sharwood Accounting with the aim and vision of helping my clients grow their businesses through personalized, tailored service.
